The Cheesecake Factory signed a lease to open a 7,350-s.f. unit at the former Cantina Laredo restaurant at the Bridge Street Town Centre in Huntsville, with plans to open by December 2021. This will be the second location in Alabama for the chain, its first being a unit in Birmingham that opened 17 years ago. The corner unit space is situated between a Barnes & Noble and a Kay Jewelers and is directly across from a P.F. Chang’s. The mall initially did not have the high demographic draw numbers The Cheesecake Factory usually prefers, but the chain still decided to open a restaurant at the property because the shopping complex attracts visitors from more than 20 miles away, and its core customer visits the property an average of 20 to 25 times annually.
