Fast-casual dining, e-bikes and electronics in the tenants to watch for December

The health conscious fast-casual restaurant chain has bullish growth plans, hoping to bring the company unit total from 26 to 1,000 by 2025. Growth is in the works for Arizona, Arkansas, Iowa, Kansas, Illinois, Montana, Minnesota, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Tennessee, Utah, Wisconsin and the Dakotas. A Fort Collins, Colo., unit is expected to open in January with others planned for the state. Look for future Austin restaurants along with other Texas locations, as well as in St. Louis and Kansas City, Mo. Florida will see restaurants coming to Tampa, Miami, Sarasota, Orlando and Naples. Downtown, street-front, shopping center, lifestyle center, regional mall and grocery-anchored centers will be targeted.

The e-bike chain plans between five and 10 new units per year over the next two years. Look for a new location coming to St. Petersburg, Fla., this month and rumor has it that a store will also come to York Street Yards in Denver. Additional locations could also be in the works for Austin, Boston and Minneapolis. The company also recently added a unit each in Salt Lake City, Huntington Beach, Calif., and Brooklyn, N.Y. Downtown, street-front, freestanding pad, power center, regional mall and non-traditional units will be targeted.

12-Month Anticipated Openings: 9+

The electronics chain plans rapid expansion with units in the works for Atlanta, Phoenix, Boston, Northern New Jersey, Wilmington, Del., Brooklyn, N.Y., and Malvern, Pa. A Reston, Va., location is set to open by year’s end. Franchisees also recently signed a multi-unit deal for Florida with the first unit expected in Palm Beach. Growth is fueled through a partnership with Fransmart. Shopping center, regional mall and grocery-anchored center sites will be targeted. The chain will buy new, used and broken electronics to be recycled or traded.
