Dick’s Sporting Goods will be opening an anchor flagship store by late 2024 in Rosedale Center, a regional shopping mall in Roseville, a suburb of Minneapolis/St. Paul. The site will entail a new build on a space that formerly housed Herberger’s, the Midwestern department store chain. The new building will include redeveloping 50,000 s.f. of the mall’s interior in order to construct a new entrance. Poag Development Group is managing the construction project.
Tenant: Dick’s Sporting Goods
Location: Roseville, Minn.
Square Footage: 80,000 s.f.
Developer/Owner: Morgan Stanley Real Estate Advisor Inc.
Property Type: Anchor in Regional Shopping Center
The site provides Dick’s Sporting Goods with enough space for its most current design, in addition to offering prominent frontage to Highway 36, easy access and ample parking. While the store won’t officially be one of the larger “Dick’s House of Sport” formats, which are between 100,000 and 140,000 s.f., the location will still be incorporating some components of the House of Sport layout into its interior. The mall additionally appealed to Dick’s because of its other noteworthy anchors, such as Macy’s, Von Maur, JCPenney and AMC Theatres.
