Large Tenants to fill Your Space in the week of Feb 15th

Southern Tire Mart

Preferred Sq. Footage: 40,000-100,0000 s.f.

Anticipated Openings: 300 over three years

Auto retailer Southern Tire Mart and convenience store chain Pilot Company reached an agreement to create a new alliance called Southern Tire Mart at Pilot Flying J to be featured at truck stops and travel centers nationwide. The new alliance plans to build over 100 locations over the next 18 months with a long-term goal to grow to 200 points of service nationwide over the next 36 months. Freestanding pads will be targeted.

Painted Tree Marketplace

Preferred Sq. Footage: 30,000-50,000 s.f.

Anticipated 12-Month Openings: 8-10

Painted Tree sets it sites on the Midwest, Southeast, Southwest and the West Coast for future stores. Look for units to be added in Denver, Phoenix, Cary and Charlotte, N.C., Orlando and Tampa, Fla. Second generation spaces in power centers within suburban neighborhoods close to major metropolitan areas will be sought after. Merchandise consists of gifts, apparel, home decor, candles, bath products and jewelry, with most products sourced from local vendors.

Purple

Preferred Sq. Footage: 4,500-4,800 s.f.

Anticipated 12-Month Openings: 5-10

The mattress brand plans to add new locations in the South, Southeast and the Midwest, including short-term leases in Class A malls and lifestyle centers in major metros. Look for a new manufacturing facility in Blacksville, Ga., to help with anticipated growth into nearby regions. Purple is known for its waffle-like mattresses that provide pressure relief, as well as smaller items such as eye masks, pillows and blankets.

Neighborhood Goods

Preferred Sq. Footage: 10,000-11,000 s.f.

Anticipated 12-Month Openings: 3

The department store chain is considering adding units on the West Coast, as well as another location in New York. The large format includes space to accommodate a kitchen and a bar, in both major metro and suburban areas. Mixed-use or street-front retail units in high-profile locations are preferred. The chain offers a mix of about 100 different brands that cater to the specific market.

Mequity

Preferred Sq. Footage: 60,000-150,000 s.f.

Anticipated 12-Month Openings: 1+

Mequity is developing a new 112,200 gross square foot climate-controlled self-storage facility in the City of Port St. Lucie, Fla. The property is a front outparcel of The Shoppes at Veranda Falls, an upscale Publix-anchored neighborhood retail center. The project will be complete in late 2021 and will be professionally managed by Public Storage. Large freestanding pads will be targeted.
