Restaurants to fill your Space in the Week of October 4th

The quick-service chains bets on rapid growth with new units planned for Salt Lake City, Houston, New Orleans, Sacramento, Calif., and throughout Southern California. Freestanding pad and shopping center sites are targeted. The chain is known for its loaded fries that include choice of proteins, toppings and sauces.

Huckleberry’s Breakfast & Lunch

12-Month Anticipated Openings: 13-15

The breakfast chain plans rapid growth after signing a multiunit franchise deal the will include new units in Gridley and Stockton, Calif., as well as the first Nevada unit coming to Reno. A recent unit just opened in Concord, Calif., this summer and an Austin, Texas, unit could also be in the works. Another 10 to 12 units are planned for 2022. Freestanding pad sites are targeted.

50 Eggs Hospitality Group

The restaurant group will grow its portfolio with the opening of its third Latin American-based CHICA brand in Aspen, Colo., in November. The group will also add two of its Southern-themed Yardbird restaurants in Chicago and Denver next year. Its newest concept, WAKUDA, is coming to The Palazzo in Las Vegas and Singapore, both also in 2022. The restaurant group is open to a variety of sites including downtown or street-front, freestanding pad, shopping center, lifestyle center, non-traditional and entertainment center units.

The Madera Group

The Southern California restaurant chain launches a new hospitality company with plans for growth called Noble 33. The chain currently has two full service brands under its umbrella: Toca Madera and Casa Madera. Look for a new Toca Madera to open in Las Vegas’ CityCenter, while a Casa Madera will open at Los Angeles’ Mondrian hotel early next year. A new Italian concept called Sparrow is coming to Downtown Los Angeles as well. The chain also eyes Chicago, Miami and New York for future sites. Hotel units will be the company’s sweet spot, along with downtown and street-front locations. InAugust, The Madera Group’s chain Tocaya merged with Tender Greens to form One Table Restaurant Brands.

The Southern breakfast chain will open its first franchised location in Smyrna, Ga., this fall. The brand also sets its sights on Miami and Savannah, Ga., for new restaurants, as well as other key East Coast markets. The chain is owned by Charleston Hospitality Group that also owns Eli’s Table, JohnKing Grill & Dueling Piano Bar and Queology. Downtown, street-front, freestanding pad and shopping center sites are targeted.

Mike Hess Brewing

Preferred Sq. Footage: 2,000-20,000 s.f.

12-Month Anticipated Openings: 1

The brewery chain recently signed a lease for its sixth location at the West Harbor development in San Pedro, Calif. The 20,000-s.f. 15-barrel brewhouse will include an outdoor beer garden with games and a restaurant. West Harbor will break ground next year with tenants expected to open late in 2023. Downtown, street-front and freestanding sites will be targeted.
