Atria Senior Living is poised for growth with eyes on sites in Boston, Los Angeles, Miami, Washington, D.C., and other major metropolitan areas. Watch for Atria to seek and build its newest senior living community in New Rochelle, N.Y., while work just began on a community in Cary, N.C., set to open late next year. Projects are also underway in New York, San Francisco and Cupertino, Calif. An assisted living and memory care community just opened last month in the Chicago suburb of Highland Park. Growth is fueled by a JV partnership formed with Related Companies back in 2018. Freestanding pads are targeted.
GuideWell

The healthcare company plans to open six new clinics in Florida including St. Petersburg and Tampa. These clinics provide a low-cost alternative to the emergency room. GuideWell Emergency Doctors started in central Florida in 2014 and is part of GuideWell Mutual Holding Corp., based in Jacksonville. GuideWell Mutual also is the parent company of Florida Blue, Florida’s Blue Cross and Blue Shield plan. The company looks for existing structures, as well as sites for build-to-suit freestanding clinics. The new units will open late in 2020 through mid-2021.
Ford’s Garage

The burger chain plans to open a new unit in St. Augustine, Fla., before the end of the year. The new restaurant will operate in a Ford Lincoln dealership, which took over a former Gander Mountain store. Construction is also expected to start soon on a unit in a Hyatt Place hotel in Troy, Mich. Additional units could also be possible in Florida, Michigan and Indiana, as well as a first unit in Cleveland and Charlotte, N.C. The burger and beer joint has a 1920s service station theme that that includes vintage Ford vehicles, gas pumps and fixtures.
Royal Pets Market & Resort

Royal Pets Market & Resort, which sells pet-related merchandise and provides boarding, day care, veterinary services and a pet spa, will open its fifth Florida unit at a mixed-use development in Tampa early next year. The retailer seeks freestanding pad, shopping center and grocery-anchored center sites.
