Tenants to fill your Larger Space

B&B Theatres

12-Month Anticipated Openings: 10-15

The movie theater chain will focus growth in the South, Midwest and Northeast. Look for a new unit to come to Red Oak, Texas, by early next year. The company hopes to take over the leases of other bankrupt movie theaters in states such as Georgia, North Carolina, Minnesota and Virginia. Downtown or street-front, freestanding pad, shopping center and entertainment center sites will be targeted. Large big-box spots in new retail construction developments will also be considered, as long as there is a decent size population in the area.

Apple Cinemas

Preferred Sq. Footage: 30,000-60,000 s.f.

12-Month Anticipated Openings: 10

The theater chain, which currently has units in the Northeast, plans to add up to 10 new locations a year for the next 10 years nationwide. The brand prefers to take over spots that formally housed a movie theater, although new development is considered as well. Two units opened last month in Maine taking over former Cinemagic locations, while another unit took over a Showcase Cinemas in Rhode Island in September. Downtown, street-front, freestanding pad, shopping center and entertainment center locations will be targeted.

Modern Animal

Preferred Sq. Footage: 3,500-5,500 s.f.

12-Month Anticipated Openings: Up to 12

The Los Angeles-based veterinary clinic targets growth in primary markets in Texas and throughout the Southeast, as well as Denver and Phoenix. The chain also plans to continue growth in Southern California. Downtown, street-front, freestanding pad and non-traditional sites will be sought after. The chain charges an annual membership fee that includes routine visits and online vet appointments.

ZenSpace

Preferred Sq. Footage: 5,000 s.f.

12-Month Anticipated Openings: 20-25

The in-mall modular enclosed office space will add units in up to four malls in the San Francisco Bay Area with eyes on expansion in other major cities such as New York City, Chicago, Los Angeles and Las Vegas by 2023. Inline mall units are targeted and the modular set up can feature co-working spaces and meeting rooms with noise-reducing glass walls and a techenabled interior with electrical power, Wi-Fi access and USB ports. Access is granted through an app where customers can reserve and pay for pod time.

Heart + Paw

Preferred Sq. Footage: 3,500-4,500 s.f.

12-Month Anticipated Openings: 15-20

The veterinary clinic plans expansion throughout the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic states and looks to partner with other veterinary clinics in the Midwest including Ohio, Tennessee and Kentucky. Half of the new units will be the chain’s own name brand clinics, while the other half will be partnership deals with other veterinary mom-and-pop stores. Downtown or street-front, lifestyle center, power center and grocery-anchored center sites are targeted. The company sets itself apart by offering spa-like interiors and services such as grooming, pet daycare and boarding.

Bash Boxing

Preferred Sq. Footage: 2,500-4,000 s.f.

12-Month Anticipated Openings: 5-10

The fitness chain will open its first franchised unit in Pittsburgh next year and hopes to add more franchised locations nationwide starting in Washington, D.C., Maryland and Virginia, followed by major cities along the East Coast. Sites in urban and suburban shopping centers in dense

residential neighborhoods will be targeted. The chain specializes in a high-intensity conditioning program that utilizes water-filled boxing bags, resistance bands, medicine balls, free weights and interval training.
