The Picklr
Preferred Square Footage: 25,000-35,000 s.f.
12-Month Anticipated Openings: 20-25

This pickleball venue concept began franchising last year, and now has enough franchisees signed to open up to 120 new venues, starting in 2025. States to see new venues include Arizona, Nevada, Utah, Colorado, Texas, Minnesota, Illinois, Tennessee, Virginia, the Carolinas, Georgia and Florida. By 2027, The Picklr expects to have 500 franchise locations sold. The Picklr seeks second-generation spaces in regional shopping centers, power centers, grocery-anchored centers and suburban strip malls.

The Frenchie Co.
Preferred Square Footage: 1,300-2,000 s.f.
12-Month Anticipated Openings: 10-15

This Colombian-based luxury accessories brand, which specializes in colorful, handcrafted wallets, briefcases and backpacks, seeks spaces in high-end Class A regional malls. Expect markets such as New York City, Los Angeles, San Diego, Scottsdale, Ariz., Boston, Nashville, Tenn., Washington, D.C., Denver and the Silicon Valley region of California to all be eyed for growth. The Frenchie Co. will expand its product line to include leather shoes, as well as antibacterial jeans and tees.

Boll & Branch
Preferred Square Footage: 1,500-2,500 s.f.
12-Month Anticipated Openings: 8-10

This elevated bed linen retailer — which also sells sleepwear, mattresses, rugs, throw pillows and candles — hopes to fill in the void left by the demise of Bed Bath & Beyond. Look for immediate expansion to take place in California, Illinois, Georgia and Tennessee, followed by new units in the Mid-Atlantic/New England states. Boll & Branch will target lifestyle centers, power centers, retail street-front units and Class A regional shopping malls.

Midwest Shooting Center
Preferred Square Footage: 10,000-30,000 s.f.
12-Month Anticipated Openings: 5-10

This Ohio-based shooting range concept began franchising last year, and now has seven locations in four states. Its founders, former franchisees of Anytime Fitness, have lofty expansion goals, as Midwest Shooting Center is now registered to open in 41 states. The brand prefers second-generation large spaces, such as former Babies “R” Us or Bed Bath & Beyond units.
