LUV Car Wash, CRU Lounge and more expand their reach

LUV Car Wash

The car wash chain plans rapid expansion by adding up to 100 new units per year over the next two years both through new construction and acquisitions of smaller brands. Look for units coming to Southern and Northern California, as well as Las Vegas. The company also targets the Southeast with Jacksonville and St. Augustine, Fla., Atlanta and Savannah, Ga., on the radar. The brand debut last year and brought on Susquehanna Private Capital as a funding partner. Downtown, street-front and freestanding pad sites will be targeted.

CRU Lounge

12-Month Anticipated Openings: 20+

The hookah-hemp lounge will be busy adding new locations throughout Georgia, Tennessee, Texas, Alabama, Florida, North Carolina and Missouri. Units are also in the works for Phoenix, New Orleans, Washington, D.C., Pittsburgh and Los Angeles. Downtown, street-front, lifestyle center and entertainment center sites are sought after. The chain offers a variety of hookah flavors, as well as food items.

Karl’s Fishing and Outdoor

12-Month Anticipated Openings: 6

The fishing supply store will add its second location to the Mall of America in Bloomington, Minn., this fall. Up to five more units are expected over the next year in areas with a nearby strong fishing industry. Downtown, street-front, shopping center, lifestyle center, power center and regional mall sites will be targeted. The store sells all things related to fishing and other outdoor merchandise.

Candy Connection

12-Month Anticipated Openings: 1+

The candy chain launches a franchising program with the first franchise unit at the Park City Mall in Lancaster, Pa. This is the second location for Candy Connection and the brand has goals to have 10 units by 2025. In June, the company completed the Brookfield Properties’ Partner to Empower Program, a partnership that will welcome Candy Connection units within Brookfield malls nationwide. The chain serves a variety of cotton candy flavors such as root beer and cookies and cream.
