Anticipate more Southern markets to be eyed, such Kentucky and Tennessee. Twisted Sugar seeks inline sites or end caps for its drive-thru units in strip malls, standalone retail buildings or retail-street front spaces, preferably near a college.

This French lingerie retailer, which already has a strong presence in 55+ countries, opened its first U.S. store in Miami this summer, and by early next year will expand into two more East Coast locations. By late 2024/early 2025, Etam hopes to have up to 10 locations, and is rumored to be eyeing the metros in Texas, California, Scottsdale, Ariz., and New York City. Etam prefers retail street-front locations or upscale shopping centers, including regional malls.
